Mark's series of powered Ultralights were built when the weight limits were (160 lbs or around that), they were innovative attention getters. Seemingly, today these lighter designs are back in vogue as the FFA weight limits are now being enforced.
Mark almost lost his life once in one of these, he lived, thanks to a parachute... much to the relief of his children who were watching the flight. Mark's biggest regret in building the ultralights came with Wanderer III. George Worthington lost his life during a test flight. This remains one of Mark's deepest regrets and sorrows. He refers to it only as the "Wing Incident," and well, if you want more information, he'll just tell you to track down an old Glider Rider Magazine, circa 1980's.
The "Last Wanderer" has made various flights throughout the past 20-odd years, she is currently trailered and might very well be for sale...maybe "Wanderer" can be part of fundraising for Mark's cancer treatment. Then he would owe her 2 debts, again his children and the rest of us would be eternally grateful.
